CPC LEADERSHIP TEAM
CPC is led by a group of 4 Leaders (also referred to as 'Elders', although they'd all like to think they're really young!).
Do read their profiles and find out about them and see what makes them tick.
Stewart has lived on the estate for over 23 years. He and his wife Pam have been members of CPC since 2000. He has grown-up children and 5 grandchildren who live nearby. After 40 years in the motor trade he had a dramatic career change when he was made redundant and he now works in the funeral business for his eldest son, Jason. He enjoys taking his dog Trotter for walks early in the morning.
Bryan has been a member of Carpenders Park Church for over 24 years, his church background before that being Congregationalist. He was elected to Eldership in 2008 and also has the position of Church Secretary. He and his wife, Linda, have lived in Carpenders Park since 1985 and have two adult children, both in their 20's. Bryan retired from Government Service after 41 years service, mostly in Westminster, but now has the job of his dreams delivering cars all over the UK.
Steve Motyer has been a member of Carpenders Park Church, with his family, for over 20 years, and has served as an elder for about 15 of those! He's a Church of England 'Rev' and works at London School of Theology in Northwood, where he runs the Theology and Counselling degree course. Hobbies are music (he plays the keyboard in our worship band), and nipping round Carpenders Park and surrounding area on his bike. Val his wife is a former social work manager and now kept busy by a lively granddaughter.
Paul has been in some form of Christian leadership for over thirty years, having become a Christian through The Navigators back in February 1970. He worked for seven years in a small firm of Lloyds Insurance Brokers in the City of London and a total of thirty one years in two firms of solicitors in Harrow and the City - separated by five years as a Pastor in the Baptist church in Brixton and Clapham. He is married to Jane, they have lived in Carpenders Park for over twenty years and they have three adult children and one "beautiful grandson". He is very interested in sport, and a life-long supporter of Manchester United, but despite that, we love him dearly ! Paul has recently been appointed as a Paid Elder, currently on a part-time basis, with special responsibilities for Pastoral Care, Homegroups, links with the local Church community and giving time to prayer and planning for the way ahead for CPC.
